Future Museum has joined forces with the Bristol Food Network to bring you this special exhibition, looking back to the early days of Bristol’s Food Sovereignty Movement at the start of the 21st century. As awareness of rapid global change expanded, the city enjoyed a flowering of small social enterprises and independent growing projects which helped pioneer the urban agriculture systems and sustainable infrastructure we enjoy today.

Hailing from unknown time in the distant future, This roving cabinet of curiosities holds a ramshackle collection of artefacts salvaged from the ancient ruins of 21st centuring civilisation.

The WunkerkammiĆ³n displays treasures from a forgotten age of affluence, alongside examples of the creative solutions that characterised life in a rapidly changing environment. It presents a spectacular and fascinating archaeology of growth, collapse, and survival – and the lessons to be learned from our turbulent past.

The WunkerkammiĆ³n’s changing exhibitions explore significant themes around ecological sustainability and change, focussing on life at the scale of individual choices, empowerment, and grassroots action.
